Summer Recipes

Summer time conjures up visions of raspberries and strawberries, gooseberries and elderflower, luscious pink salmon and eclectic salads with every colour under the sun.

The perfect scenario is a warm light evening for an al fresco dinner or barbeque in the garden with the best of the summer’s yield.

At Planet Organic the fruit and vegetable shelves are bursting with colour in summer, with plenty of soft fruits and tender vegetables:

  • tomatoes, courgettes, peas and beans
  • new potatoes and cauliflower
  • cucumbers, radishes and spring onions
  • lettuce, rocket and mange tout
  • strawberries and raspberries
  • gooseberries, cherries and plums, herbs of all kinds - parsley, basil, thyme, mint and rosemary

There’s plenty of scope for sumptuous salads that are packed full of goodness. And preparing food in summer is so much simpler with less cooking and plenty to savour.
