wheatgrass
Wheat grain (wheat berries) when sprouted grow into wheat grass. Wheat grass juice, which is 70% chlorophyll, has long been recognised for its healing properties and as a powerful detoxifier. Young grass up to four days old can be cut and added to salads. Older grass, about 10cm tall can be chewed to suck out the juice or pressed in a wheat grass juicer. People allergic to wheat rarely have an allergy to wheat grass and wheat grass does not contain gluten.
