Prunes are dried plums but in most shops they contain the chemical preservative Potassium Sorbate, which enables them to retain a high water content without going mouldy. The prunes we sell at Planet Organic are either properly dried, so there’s no need to chemical preservatives, or they are carefully selected moist prunes which are nitrogen packed to maintain freshness.
