By not relying on lots of chemicals, organic wine growers nourish the soil with organic fertilisers such as seaweed and natural composts. Biological diversity is encouraged which means growing nitrogen-fixing plants between the vines and introducing insects and plants to the vineyard to control pests. Chemicals are minimally used and the amount of sulphur dioxide used in white wine carefully controlled. All the wine we sell at Planet Organic is vegetarian with the majority being vegan, meaning no fish or gelatine is used when clarified.
