Quantity
Kit contains enough ingredients for at least 13 tubes of lip gloss.

Kit Contents

  • 1 Pipette
  • 2 Cosmetic Spatulas
  • 4 Syringes
  • 4 Plastic Liquid dispenser needles
  • 6 Lip gloss tubes
  • One recipe card

Equipment Needed
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Surgical spirit or other disinfecting solution to sterilise equipment

PHASE A
4tsp Jojoba Gel
1tsp Jojoba Oil

PHASE B
1-2 drops Rosehip Red 6 or Cherry Red 7 or Iron Oxide Brown
¾ tsp Mica of your choice

Here is what to do

First sterilise the mixing bowl. Put some surgical spirit on a cloth and wipe the inside of the bowl thoroughly

STEP 1: Add the ingredients listed for Phase A to your mixing bowl and stir well to make a smooth mixture

STEP 2: Add the Phase B colour ingredients and stir well to develop the colour.
Iron oxide brown gives nude shades, then you can add Mica Bordeaux to make nude/rose shades.

Reds 6 and 7 give red/pink undertone shades, then use the mica of your choice to make the shade pinker (Carmine mica), reddish brown (Mica red) or cherry red (Mica Bordeaux).
Pearl white mica can be added to make pastel shade or to soften stronger colours

STEP 3: Remove the plunger from the syringe and use the spatula to fill the syringe tube with lip gloss. Add the tip to the syringe.

STEP 4: Replace the plunger into the syringe, insert the tip into the lip gloss container, then press the plunger to transfer the gloss to the container.

Tips:
  • Start with a small amount of colour, then gradually add more to get the shade you want
  • If the gloss is too thick, dilute it with a little more Jojoba oil and stir well.

Lip Gloss Tubes
It says the kit includes enough ingredients to make 13 lip glosses, but only includes 6 tubes. How could I get more tubes to store all the gloss?
Reply by Planet Organic Good Morning,

It is not necessary to make the 13 lip glosses at the same time so you could reuse the containers. If you do want to make all of them I suggest you contact Sharonda Calhoun (Silk & Honey's founder) at sharonda2k@hotmail.com as we do not carry "spare parts". Sharonda will be more than happy to help you with your kit.

I you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to get back in touch.
