Turnips are Iceland’s main staple food and an important ingredient in various classic dishes in the Nordic cuisine. Classic, Icelandic yellow turnips are a great winter vegetable for us and they contain more vitamin C than oranges ! For this product we use a more modern approach to fermentation as we use citrus which gives it a pungent flavor and at the same time reduces the level of salt somewhat.
