What made you apply for the role?
An interest in healthy foods and lifestyle.
What role did you start in at Planet Organic/what other roles have you done over the years?
I started as a cashier. After a couple of years I enquired about positions in the office, which led to me being transferred to the Accounts department doing general office duties and assisting the Accountant at that time.
What is your background?
Originally I was working with children and young people. I worked as a Nursery Officer and Youth Worker for several years.
What would you do on a typical day?
My job includes matching and inputting invoices, doing statement reconciliations and dealing with suppliers.
What is the team like and what is it like working with your colleagues?
I enjoy working with my team. Most of us have been here for several years and we all get along very well.
How would you describe the culture at Planet?
What type of development, training or supplier visits have you taken part in and which ones have you most enjoyed?
Most of what I have learnt has been through my own experience of the job.
How have you grown personally during your time at Planet Organic?
Working in such an environment has definitely encouraged me to make healthier choices for me and my family. My interest in alternative therapies has increased immensely.

Working in an environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle, the people I work with and the flexibility, especially being a mother. This is important to me!

Good organisational skills/communication skills; eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines.
