What made you apply for the role?
I came to England in 2004 and was looking for a job. A friend of mine was working for Planet Organic at the Torrington Place store.

What role did you start in at Planet Organic/what other roles have you done over the years?
I started as Food to Go Team Member and did that for about 2 years. I then applied for the Store Administrator role. I did that for 4 years before I moved to Accounts in Head Office; I was there for 2 years. An opportunity came up in the IT department and Iam now IT Manager.

What is your background?
I am from the north-west of Pakistan.

What would you do on a typical day?
Apart from working on short or long-term projects daily, I can be working on smaller issues such as printer issues or setting up new domain users to carrying out server maintenance and implementing new systems. 

What is the team like and what is it like working with your colleagues?
I share the office with the Accounts team. The people there are cool and fun to work with.

How would you describe the culture at Planet?
The working culture at Planet is quite relaxed, where everyone is easily and happily approachable. 

What type of development, training or supplier visits have you taken part in and which ones have you most enjoyed?
Recently I went on an IT course about virtualisation and I enjoyed it a lot.

What do you most enjoy about your job?
I really enjoy troubleshooting and fixing problems.  

What do you like most about working at Planet Organic?
Planet Organic’s team is very multicultural and I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. You learn a lot about other languages and cultures.

Anti-stressful and fun-to-work-with kind of people.
