Affected batches: any best before dates between 13/08/2022 to 05/03/2023

Information: the manufacturer is immediately recalling Amaizin tortilla chips due to containing tropane alkaloids.

This substance is naturally present in a weed that grows on organic corn fields and is released when the seeds of this weed break.  When harvesting the organic corn, some of the seeds of this weed ended up in the corn flour that was used for our organic tortilla chips. This unfortunately resulted in the presence of tropane alkaloids in the chips.
