Ombar believe chocolate can be just as nourishing as it is indulgent. All their cacao is unroasted meaning the heart-healthy, heat-sensitive polyphenols are retained in their chocolate. All of Ombar’s chocolate is made from bean to bar in their small Cambridge factory with organic cacao from Ecuador. They pay higher than the fair trade recommended price and work closely with Paola, Ombar’s Supply Chain Manager, who ensures good working conditions for the farmers. Only natural ingredients are added to the mix – some bars even contain a vegan live culture! Every bar and button is vegan, organic, fair trade, and free from gluten and refined sugar – not to mention delicious.
